Terrorist al shabaab kill district commissioner in southern Somalia

Reports coming from Jowhar District, southern Somalia, confirm that the Aden Yabal District commissioner died in a Jowhar hospital today. Muhiddin Ali was wounded by unidentified gunmen late yesterday afternoon while in his car, and was taken to Jowhar district hospital. He later died of his wounds. TheTerrorist gunmen, who were armed with pistols, escaped after killing the commissioner. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack. This is not the first time that a government official has been targeted in Middle Shabelle Region. More than 16 district commissioners/officials were killed in Somalia by suspected islamist groups mainly in Mogadishu. Ethiopian and Somali government forces come under daily attack in the capital.
