al shabaab Terrorist Insurgents seize southern Somali town


Mogadishu (Somalia), Fighters of the Somali Al-shabab Terrorist Friday took over Hudur, the provincial capital of the southern province of Bakool, without fighting, residents said.The local administration and their security forces withdrew from the town hours before the fighters entered, residents said.'There was no fighting in the town when the rebels came in because all the government forces and the mayor left,' Mohamed Yare, a local resident told Xinhua by phone from Hudur, 180 km north of Baidoa town, the seat of the transitional Somali parliament. more..http://story.irishsun.com/index.php/ct/9/cid/2411cd3571b4f088/id/391793/cs/1/The Islamic Courts took control of Hudur, the capital of the Bakool region along the Ethiopian border. Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed called on Arab states to provide peace keepers and pressure Ethiopian to withdraw. The US Navy thwarted a pirate attack off the coast of Somalia.
