NAIROBI, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- The African Union on Friday decried increased attacks against its peacekeeping mission in war-torn Somalia and warned that it would not sit back and watch as their positions come under attacks by the insurgents. Addressing a news conference in Nairobi, the AU Special Representative for Somalia Nicolas Bwakira said AU peacekeeping mission (AMISON) is not in Somalia to engage the local insurgents in military confrontation but to restore normalcy in the Horn of Africa nation. "This week has witnessed unprecedented attacks on AMISOM positions.
