Kenyan government has commented over a recent warning from Somalia's Al-Shabab Islamists waging war in Somalia.Speaking at a media conference in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, the government spokesman of Kenya, Dr Alfred Mutua, has said that Kenya would not respond to threats by Al-Shabab regarding the Kenyan plan to provide military training to some Somali troops.Dr Mutua said that Kenya had its own policy, and because of that it would not respond to comments made by organizations that were not recognized by the Kenyan government.
He said Kenya would continue with its plan towards providing training to the Somali Transitional Government troops.Somalia's Al-Shabab group recently warned Kenya over its plan to provide training to 10,000 soldiers. Al-Shabab warned that the move could have negative consequences on Kenya, and would also make Al-Shabab to attack Kenya.The remarks, which Kenya and Al-Shabab are trading, come at a time when fighting between Ethiopian forces in collaboration with Somali government forces and insurgents are intensifying in Somalia
