PM Meles holds talks with US Africa Command Commander


Addis Ababa, November 21, 2008 (Addis Ababa) - Prime Minister, Meles Zenawi held discussions with the US Africa Command Commander, General William E. (Kip) Ward here on Friday. Speaking at the occasion, Meles said Ethiopia and the US have done a lot in ensuring peace and stability in the Horn of Africa. Ethiopia commends the US for assisting Ethiopia toward ensuring peace and stability in the sub-region. Meles also expressed Ethiopia’s readiness to further scale up cooperation in this regard, according to a senor government official who attended the discussion. The commander for his part lauds the activities of the Ethiopian government toward strengthening cooperation with the US especially in ensuring peace and stability in the horn. General William E. (Kip) Ward arrived in Addis Ababa to express gratitude to Prime Minister Meles Zenawi since Ethiopia has done a lot in ensuring peace and stability in the region.
