The Bay Regional administration has said they have arrested two people who are accused of being responsible for the explosion in which the District Commissioner of Baidoa town was wounded. The two people were arrested in a security operation carried out by the police in Baidoa. Several other civilians were also arrested by the police and were later released after investigations. The District Commissioner of Baidoa, Hasan Ma'alin Biikole, was wounded in yesterday's explosion and is currently admitted at the district hospital. Three of the district commissioner’s body guards were also killed in the explosion. Baidoa is the seat of the transitional administration's parliament but radical insurgents control positions around the city, some 250 kilometres (155 miles) south of the capital.mostly hawiye al-shabaab i terrorist nsurgents WITH ONLF carry out daily hit-and-run attacks against government targets and Ethiopian troops.Somalia's civilian population has borne the brunt of the violence in the Horn of Africa country, with some estimates saying at least 8,000 have died since the start of the year alone.
TFG leaders differ over formation of new administration
The conflict between the president of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia (TFG] and the prime minister is said to be over ways of forming new administration for the TFG in which both leaders have different views on. The conflict became apparent after the president rejected the prime ministers proposition on ways he is intending to go about the formation of a new administration for the TFG.
President Abdullahi Yusuf and Terror Sympathizer hawiye Prime Minister Nur Hassan Husain mainly differ on the subject regarding the former ministers who resigned from their positions, whom the parliament later passed a vote of no confidence against them. The prime minister said those ministers will not be re-appointed in the government and that he will appoint others in their position within two weeks. President Abdullahi Yusuf wants these ministers not to be isolated as far as hiring them back to government is concerned. Muhammad Abdi Xayir alias Mareye, an MP of the Somali parliament, said that IGAD made a decision that those minister will not be hired back. Abdirashid Ali Abdulle, also an MP, said no where in the IGAD decision is it written that the resigned ministers cannot be re-appointed. Either way, the TFG seems to have had no success in one of the most important conferences it has taken part in since its formation. The government was harshly addressed and advised to resolve their differences, but that seems not to have been a solution to the dispute between the president and the Prime Minister and the Somali parliament.
