An Islamic Dark Age Looms in Somalia

With no effective government in place and the islamic insurgent groups making territorial gains and increasingly taking control of Somalia, it is pertinent that any concerned person starts to think or imagine what this war torn country is gong to be like under an islamic rule. What will happen to Somalia if islamic militia eventually over run the country? Certainly, Somalia will become another Taliban Afghanistan.Because the islamists fighting in Somalia have all the traits and characteristics of the Taliban-antediluvian, anti-modernity and anti human rights. This is evident from the reports coming from areas these islamic radicals are already in control of. For instance, last year, a thirteen year old girl, Aisha Ibrahim, raped by three men was stoned to death after being convicted by a sharia court for adultery.According to eye witnesses the girl was forced into a hole, buried up her neck and pelted with stones till she died.It was reported that at a point during the stoning, some nurses were invited who removed her from the hole, examined and found that she was still alive. And the stoning continued till she was confirmed dead. Over 1000 people witnessed this outrageous incident. And it was reported that Aisha pleaded for mercy. She cried 'Dont Kill me, dont kill me', still the islamic killer squad went ahead and stuffed out the life of this innocent girl in fulfillment of 'Allah's instruction' What happened to Aisha is surely what awaits women and human rights if these islamic throwbacks take over Somalia. Already they have carried out public flogging of 'criminals' It is clear that the islamic radicals in Somalia are set to bring this war torn country under an islamic dark age with disastrous consequences for Africa and the world. The UN,EU,AU, East and Horn of Africa countries should not allow this to happen. The world should not repeat the mistakes it made in Afghanistan. The looming islamic dark age in Somalia should be dispelled and defeated.
