Al Shabaab is an islamic terrorist group linked to al Qaida that operates in southern Somalia. Recently al Shabaab made international headlines for a threat made against Barack Obama's inauguration. Obviously nothing happened but the number of security personnel at Obama's inauguration was extremely high. The FBI is concerned about 20 Somali-Americans who have disappeared from the Minneapolis area. The Somali-Americans are believed to have travelled to Somalia to fight for al Shabaab. Al Shabaab have had a website spewing out their propaganda hosted by Dotster Inc in Vancouver, Washington, USA. Even though al Shabaab is listed as a terrorist organization by the US State Department, Dotster refused to shut down the site for free speech reasons. Dotster said they would only shut down the site if the government would order them to do so.Well looks like the government has finally gotten around to order Dotster to shut down kataaib.net!
