Taiwan Mulls Sending Warships to Fight Piracy around Gulf of Aden

The Gulf of Aden, one of the main sea-lanes that links the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea, is infested with pirates from Somalia. It is reported that over 100 merchant vessels were attacked and around 40 people were kidnapped by Somali pirates in or near the Gulf of Aden last year.
