Somali roadside bomb kills 3
A displaced Somali family returns to its homes on a donkey cart in Mogadishu MOGADISHU: A roadside bomb hit an African Union peacekeepers’ convoy south of the Somali capital killing at least three civilians and wounding four others, the force’s spokesman said.“The information we got indicates that three civilians died in the explosion and one of our soldiers was lightly injured. The vehicle was also slightly damaged,” said Bahuko Bridgye.Some witnesses, however, said the troops opened fire after the blast, killing and wounding the civilians.“I was very close to the area of the explosion and I saw three civilians killed and four others were injured. Some of them were hit by bullets fired by the forces,” said Ahmed Abdulahi said, a witness.“It is not over yet.
