Somali pirates demand $1.5m ransom for Egyptian cargo ship


Somali pirates have agreed to release an Egyptian cargo ship seized last month and free its 28-member crew in exchange for $1.5m.
"We have reached an agreement (with the pirates) for a million dollar ransom," the boat's owner Abderrahman el-Awwa told AFP. "We are waiting for them to choose a secure place in order for us to hand over the sum," he added. more..http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,25019874-663,00.html
