UN ship attacked in Mogadishu port by Terrorist al-shabaab

At least two people were killed and six wounded – though some sources said that four were killed - after a mortar attack launched against a UN ship docked at the port of Mogadishu. The attack happened while the ship was offloading supplies to be used by the Somali government.
The victims were all civilians and dock workers. All activity in the area was suspended and government and AMISOM troops intervened. The motives and identity of the assailants remain unknown. Recently, the deputy prime minister Abdallah Bos Ahmed had invited the opposition movements to put down their weapons and join the government to take part in the reconstruction and stabilization process of the country. Previously, president Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed had spoken of "national reconciliation" welcoming a suggestion from the clans in Mogadishu to mediate between the government and the armed opposition.
