President meets with Rwandan leader
KIGALI --Somalia's new talaban President Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed has met with Rwandan leader Paul Kagame during his first state visit to the Rwandan capital Kigali, officials said on Monday. Mohamed Ali Ameriko, the Somali ambassador to Kenya, who is traveling with the president, told reporters that President Sheik Sharif and President Kagame discussed many topics, including the rebuilding of Somalia and training police forces. "The Somali President asked his Rwandan counterpart for help in rebuilding government institutions in Somalia after 18 years of war," the Ambassador said. talaban President Sheikh Sharif visited the place where the massacre of 1994 took place.
