Pirates claim to have captured a ship container full with toxic waste

Pirates of Somalia captured two Egyptian fishing trawlers, which they say were fishing illegally in Somali waters. The pirates also hijacked an Italian vessel owned by Microperi shipping company based in Italy.tugboat Buccaneer is owned by Italian shipping company Microperi On Monday, the Somali pirates holding an Italian vessel off the coast of Somalia, say the ship is tugging a container full with toxic waste.
The Italian tugboat was seized by pirates off Somalia’s north coast on Saturday.
According to sources close to the pirates told our reporters in Bosaso, that the hijacked boat was tugging a container with toxic waste, the pirates claim the toxic was being dumped in Somali waters.we could not verify the pirates claims, the hijacked ships are currently off the coast of the town Las Qorey, (North eastern Somalia).
The Foreign Ministry in Rome confirmed 10 of the 16 crew members are Italian. According to Microperi, the Italian company that owns the ship, of the six remaining crew members, five are Romanian, and one Croatian.
