The sole surviving Somali pirate from the hostage-taking of Captain Richard Phillips is en route to New York for a court appearance set for Tuesday, US officials said.
Abduhl Wal-i-Musi is due to appear in federal court in New York and could arrive in the city by late Monday night. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to discuss the case.
