MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) -- An international aid agency says conditions in Somalia will become even more catastrophic due to renewed fighting, drought and malnutrition. Oxfam's humanitarian coordinator in the African country says fighting in Mogadishu has made an already bad humanitarian situation worse by pushing more people from their homes into squalid camps. Hassan Noor says thousands including children ill with diarrhea and disease are sleeping in the open and are exposed to rain or searing heat. Somalia is also experiencing its worse drought in more than a decade. The U.N. says 62,000 people have fled the capital recently. Nearly 200 Somalis have been killed since mid-May in violence between Islamist fighters and government troops. (23 images)
