Somalia: A Third High-Profile Killing,lawmaker slaughtered by Al-Shabab

Gunmen fatally shot a lawmaker in Mogadishu on Friday, the government said. It was the third killing of a high-profile government official in three days. The legislator, Eng Muhammad Hussein Addow, was a staunch supporter of Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed, the internationally backed president. Mr. Addow was said to have been captured and killed by insurgents. The previous day, Mogadishu’s top police commander was killed in a battle in the capital, and Omar Hashi Aden, an administration official, was killed in a bombing attack on a hotel in Beledweyne in which 20 people died.

A member of Somalia Parliament has been killed during heavy fighting between fighters loyal to the Al-Qaeda linked group Al-Sources confirmed to Media that Engineer Mohamed Hussein Addow was slaughtered by the Al-Shabab militants being caught in today’s fighting that raged in Karan district, northeast of the capital.witnesses told that Al-Shabab injured Addow and cut off his head as the battle spread into new areas controlled by the government.
“in fact what Al-Shabab has done was un-Islamic and inhuman act because they slaughtered the MP as animal,” said one of the local residents.The death of the Somali lawmaker came day after suicide bomber belonging to Al-Shabab killed the security minister and other Senior officers and intellectuals in Beledweyn town in central Somalia..The Somali government lost key member security members in their fight against the rebel Islamists since early this year after the Ethiopian departure from Somalia.habab and government forces which renewed in north of the capital Mogadishu on Friday.
