Six people killed in clashes in Somali capital Mogadishu
Six people were killed and more than 20 others wounded on Monday in the fierce clashes involving Somali government forces and Islamist insurgent groups in the Somali capital of Mogadishu, a medical official said. The fighting broke out around a Somali government military base in the south of the restive coastal city after insurgent groups launched an attack, instigating intense barrage of shelling that landed in residential areas around Mogadishu's main Bakara market. "Our ambulances took 21 wounded people and our staff reported seeing nearly six dead people in and around Bakara market," said Ali Muse, chief paramedic with Lifeline Africa Ambulance Service in Mogadishu. ..more..http://english.people.com.cn/90001/90777/90855/6711862.html
