Bujumbura, Burundi - At last 10 Burundian soldiers were killed and several others wounded in Thursday's suicide attack on the African Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) base near Mogadishu, Somalia, according to the spokesperson of the Burundian army, Maj.-Gen. Lazare Nduwayo.Among the victims is the Deputy Commander of AMISOM, Gen. Juvénal Niyoyunguruzao.The Islamic group Al-Shabab has claimed responsibility for the attack, which claimed also claimed several others, saying it was in retaliation for the US raid that killed Saleh Ali Nabhan, a suspected Al-Qaeda terrorist, on Monday.Three battalions of the Burundian army are deployed in Somalia under AMISOM.Bujumbura - 18/09/2009
