Muslims in Mombasa at protest outside Sakina mosque after Friday afternoon prayers. They condemned Israel aggression that led to the bombing of the Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem last week. They converged outside the mosque and were addressed by the Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya [CIPK] organising secretary Sheikh Mohamed Khalifa.

A senior cleric has alleged that hundreds of youth from North Eastern province are being recruited to join the fight between the Somalia government and two warring Islamist groups.Sheikh Mohammed Idriss said the government is behind recruitment being conducted by Somalia government despite refuting the claims two days ago.Addressing faithful in Masjid Sakina Mombasa, Sheikh Idriss claimed the Al-Shabaab and Hizbul Islam fighters are enlisting Kenya youth in the camps through well-connected agents.He said the militants mostly target jobless Somalia youth in Muslim-dominated regions in the country while those recruited for Somalia government are being enticed with money to join training.“Youths are being recruited to fight in Somalia with the knowledge of the government.
