Ransom fears as Royal Navy continues search for British couple kidnapped by Somali pirates

The family of a British couple thought to have been hijacked by Somali pirates were awaiting a ransom demand tonight as the Royal Navy continued its urgent search for the missing pair.Paul and Rachel Chandler, from Tunbridge Wells, Kent, went missing after sailing from the Seychelles towards Tanzania.Counter piracy rescue teams from the Royal Navy are scouring the area after a distress signal was received from their yacht, the Lynn Rival, on Friday.

No ransom demands have yet been made.He added: 'We captured them as they were touring in the Indian Ocean.'Relatives have said they fear the worst.
