Somalia: Twin explosions at Bossaso in Puntland

Twin explosions have on yesterday evening occurred at Bossaso town in the semi-autonomous region in eastern Somalia. The casualties caused by the two explosions are not yet clear, but they were targeted at two police stations in the town. The two big explosions are part of the recent in security in some parts of Puntland, and the security personnel of Puntland region have commenced operation to track down the perpetrators who have carried out the explosions overnight. “We should work together in the security of our region, lately there is great in security in the region there are strangers who are determined to damage and spoil the tranquility we have strived for and eventually achieved” said Sultan Mohamed Abdi speaking to mogadishu radio. The Sultan has also added that the security of the region is upon the responsibility of all the inhabitants of the region.
