al- shabaab kill a charity organization official and imposes taxes on businessmen

NAIROBI (TF.SF)—Gunmen have shot dead an official of a charity organization in Balad Hawo town in Gedo region near Kenyan border, witnesses said on Monday.
Osman Madey who was the head of a local charity organization in the town was killed in his house last night by the gunmen.
The gunmen have reportedly entered in the house of the deceased official and shot him dead. The late official has returned a journey from Nairobi, Kenya to Balad Hawo gedo region recently.
The town is under the control of al Shabaab militants
also Shabaab militant group which is al Qaeda proxy in Somalia has told business people in Bakaro Market in Mogadishu to pay taxes, witnesses said on Monday. The group had a meeting with businessmen in Bakaro Market and discussed with them the easiest way of paying the duties.




Some businessman rejected to pay the taxes, but they finally allowed paying the money after they were threatened.
The group had already ordered business people in other regions under their control in the country to pay levy and the orders became effective. Gunmen have robbed thousands of Dollars from Hawala companies in Mogadishu recently. The gunmen were suspected to be linked with al Shabaab since they control the main market of Bakaro in Mogadishu.
