U.S. Condemns Mogadishu Bombing, Canada condemns suicide bombing ,U.S. Ambassador Visits Bombing Victims

The United States condemns in the strongest terms the December 3rd Terrorist suicide man..bombing in Mogadish, . At a university gathering, celebrating scholarship and hope for the future of Somalia, a suicide bomber murdered students, teachers, journalists, and others. Three ministers of the Transitional Federal Government, who worked tirelessly to restore stability in Somalia, were among those killed.Such horrific violence flies in the face of all that is good for Somalia. Now, those who committed this attack choose death and destruction and have no interest in rebuilding the country. The United States looks to Somalis everywhere to end the violent conflict that has engulfed their homeland for nearly two decades. The United States, with the international community, is committed to restoring the peace and prosperity that Somalia once knew, and we will partner with the Somali people to help them achieve that goal .. U.S. Ambassador Visits Bombing Victims



United States Ambassador Michael Ranneberger visited victims of the recent suicide bombing in Mogadishu at Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi on December 7.
The Ambassador offered words of support on behalf of the American people to the fourteen wounded Somalis. In remarks to the media following the visit, Ambassador Ranneberger underscored the United States government’s unwavering support to the Transitional Federal Government and the people of Somalia.
