Pirates release another hijacked vessel with 15 sailors, omali pirates hijack Turkish ship with 25 crew‎

Ahmedabad, Apr 7 (PTI) One more vessel hijacked by Somalian pirates has been set free along with 15 sailors hailing from Kutch district of Gujarat, making it the fourth of the eight dhows to be released.

"My vessel 'Narnarayan' which was hijacked by pirates was released yesterday after it ran out of fuel," boat owner Dhiraj Thakkar told PTI.

"I received a call from captain Suleman Ali Madhiya today. He was at the Magadishu port of Somlaia along with 15 sailors. They will be leaving for Dubai in a couple of days along with other vessels with adequate security cover," Thakkar added.

The vessels were hijacked on March 27.

One of the eight hijacked vessels, Faiz-E-Osmani, was rescued by the US and Oman Navies along with eight sailors yesterday. One of the sailors had jumped into the sea and died.
