Suspected New Jersey terrorists set their sights on American troops, authorities say

Two New Jersey men stopped at Kennedy Airport while heading to wage jihad in Africa were lusting to kill - and hoped to get their sights on American troops, authorities said Sunday.
Carlos Eduardo Almonte, 24, of Elmwood Park, and Mohamed Mahmood Alessa, 20, of North Bergen, discussed buzz that U.S. soldiers would soon arrive in Somalia to battle Al Qaeda. And that "was good because it would not be fun to kill only Africans," the feds recorded them saying - with the help of a hero undercover NYPD cop."I was born here, you know, raised here. I just want the troops to come home safely and cozily . . . in caskets," Almonte said in one taped conversation, according to authorities."Sliced up in 1,000 pieces, cozy in the grave, in hell," Alessa cravenly agreed.Almonte and Alessa were about to board separate flights to Egypt on Saturday night on their way to Somalia, officials said. They were full of big talk about joining the Al Qadea-tied militants waging terrorist attacks against the moderate American-backed Islamic government in Somalia, the feds say."A lot of people need to get killed, bro, swear to God," Alessa allegedly said in one of many conversations recorded by the resourceful undercover NYPD officer who befriended them...http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2010/06/06/2010-06-06_alleged_plotters_words_i_wanna_like_be_the_worlds_known_terrorist.html#ixzz0ti17jSNK
