Somalia: President Calls Peace, Al-Shabab Declares War

Mogadishu — Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed, the president of the transitional government of Somalia has called for the Somali people to work the peace and restoration of stability of country.
Speaking to Somali people in Mogadishu, presidents Sheik Sharif had congratulated for the Somalia people and all Muslims in the world for the holy Ramadan month.amadan is the only month that all Muslims in the world required to be fast and is one of the obligations of Allah and ordered his people to abstain from eating, drinking and more other things in the day time during the holy Ramadan month.
The president had reiterated his call for the Somali people to work the peace and stability of Somalia and respect the honor of the holy Ramadan month, but Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen declared war during the holy Ramadan month.
Al-shabab, an Islamist organization that controls much of southern Somalia has said that they would continue Jihad (Islamic war) against AMISOM and the transitional government of Somalia in the Ramadan month to take over whole control of Somalia.
The statement comes as most of the Somali people in south and central Somalia are fast today as the rise of moonlight of the holy Ramadan month seen in many different areas in Somalia except two of the regions Mudug and Galgudud in central Somalia under the control of Ahlu Snna and Puntland.
