Mohamed Omar Habeb better known as (Mohamed Dhere), the former governor of Banadir region vowed to fight Islamist fighters of Al-shabab and Hizbul Islam

MOGADISHU (tf.Sf) – Mohamed Omar Habeb better known as (Mohamed Dhere), the former governor of Banadir region has vowed that they would fight against the Islamist fighters of Al-shabab and Hizbul Islam as tribalism, disproving statements from Al-shabab officials in Mogadishu.
Mohamed Dere said that they are against any one against the transitional government of Somalia denying reports from Al-shabab that they had seized parts of the governor’s house in the capital.
“These people, the shabab, are from far away regions of Somalia. They came here to create insecurity situations in Mogadishu. We had defended from such enemies earlier and they are nothing around us. So we are ready to attack them. We are also saying to them, if they have ability to come to us, let them come,” said Mohamed Omar Habab
The former governor and mayor of the Somali capital Mogadishu said that they support the transitional government of Somalia pointing out that the government was established by Somali people and for the Somalis asserting they would hand over any position they seize from Al-shabab and Hizbul Islam.
The statement of Mohamed Omar Habab comes a day after Al-shabab spokesman claimed victory over the fighting and said they seized parts of the former governor’s house in Mogadishu.
