Somali commander dies in Afgoi town After being tortured by Al-shabab and Hizbul Islam two active terrorist groups in Somalia.


AFGOI (TF.SF) – Col. Ali Aden (Ali Ganey), the former commander of police department of lower Shabelle region in southern Somalia died at Afgoi town, 30 kilometers to south of Mogadishu on according to locals who spoke to the journalist on Tuesday.

Reports say that Al-shabab and Hizbul Islam fighters had badly tortured the commander in the era of President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed as both Al-shabab and Hizbul Islam seized the control of the town and the chief.
The deceased colonel suffered blood pressure and other sickness since the Islamist fighters beat him and caused his death according to locals and relatives in Afgoi town of Lower Shabelle region in southern Somalia.
Abdikadir Mohamed Nor, the governor of the transitional government of Somalia for Lower Shabelle region told reporters that the deceased commander died for sickness caused by Al-shabab and Hizbul Islam to him saying it was white clear that they had held him in the forest for more than a year and months.
The relatives said they the Islamist fighters had released the colonel before months as he became very sick.
Hizbul Islam and Al-shabab captured the deceased colonel Ali Ganey as he was between Farsooley and Toratorow villages in southern Somalia.
Colonel Ali Ganey was above 60 and left two wives with young children, might Allah rest his sprit in the paradise.
