Somalia: President Shariff’s paternal uncle in the hands of Al-Shabab

Reports which Somaliweyn website has received from Jowhar town the headquarters of middle Shabelle region in southern Somalia say that Al-Shabab fighters have apprehended Sheikh Mahamoud Sheikh Muuse who is the paternal uncle of the current President of Somalia Sheikh Shariff Sheikh Ahmed from a tiny village near Mahaday district in the region.
Till now the incarceration of the President’s uncle by Al-shabab fighters is not manifest, but it can only be related that he is the uncle of the President of Somalia whom the Al-shababs really abhor his ideology against them.
The entire traditional elders, clerics and the intellectuals in the region are very anxious about the detention of the President of Somalia’s uncle whom they know as a very recluse, respected, benevolence and very moderate person.
“I have been along time friend with the Sheikh Mohamoud the uncle of President Shariff he is not anytime involved in the unbalanced political affairs in Somalia and merely strictly follows the recitation and teaching of the Holy Quran and the practice of the Prophet Mohamed Peace Be Upon Him” said Sheikh Ibrahim Noor a great friend of the detained President Shariff of Somalia’s paternal uncle.
This will be the first time for Al-Shabab to target anybody who is next of kin of the current President of Somalia since he has become the President of the volatile country Somalia
