Mogadishu(tf.sf) — The transitional federal government of Somalia on Thursday charged Al shabaab with refusing food aid to be delivered to the needy displaced Somalis in the areas they control.
In a press conference in Mogadishu, Somalia's deputy minister of interior, Ibrahim Is-hak Yarow indicated that al shabaab inflict people in the droughts hit areas in southern and central Somalia.
The minister added that Somali government allocated humanitarian food for the needy Somali people who severely affected by the droughts, but said Al shabaab banned aid agencies to operate the regions is under their control.
He stated that his ministry Monday received humanitarian food supply from the United Arab Imarets to the droughts' affected people in the nation.
