Govt Denies Al Shabaab Charges also TFG: Parliament’s term extension by three years was hasty decision

Mogadishu — The transitional federal government of Somalia on Friday denied Al shabaab charges that its soldiers are removing the yashmaks (Niqab) from the faces Somali women.

Ahmed Abdullahi alias Ahmed Yare, the commander of Somali forces at Mogadishu's Ex-control Afgoye said in an interview with Shabelle Media Network that Al shabaab charges are baseless and false, adding that Al shabaab wants to tell the people whatever it wants and create unrest in the checkpoint where is main artery the transportation between Mogadishu and other region in southern and central Somalia.

Ahmed Yare stressed that Al shabaab 's threatening will not have any impact on Somali government officers and soldiers.The government officer said that they will keep on searching people, vehicles and public buses to assure the security in the area."Al shabaab want to create violence in TFG controlled areas by using Niqab and that is why they are talking about the searches we are doing" the officer was quoted by Shabelle as saying.On Thursday, the spokesman of Al Shabaab for military operations, Sheikh Abdulaziz Abu Mus'ab, who held a press conference in Mogadishu, said that their fighters will attack Ex-control Afgoye if Somali government forces there have not stopped bothering Somali people using the junction.

TFG: Parliament’s term extension by three years was hasty decision

The transitional federal government described parliament’s mandate extension as a hasty decision, an official said on Monday. Abdirashid Mohammed Hidig, Somalia’s deputy minister of sports and labor said, in an exclusive interview, that it was good the decision to be reached or not after more deliberations. He said that Somali government was not aware that Somali parliament will extend its own mandate for three years.
On the other hand, asked about government’s 100 days plan, Mr. Hidig said Somali government took an important step, saying that they managed to create wrangle and dispute with in Al shabaab. In the part Somali government vowed that it will drive Al shabaab fighters from Mogadishu within 100 days.
