Government carries out operation in Bakool and condemns beheading by Al-Shabab

Soldiers of the TFG in Bakool province have today carried out security operations in a bid to ameliorate the security issues.The soldiers started the operation at El-Barde and Aato where some elders from the region were injured in a landmine blast.Some officials carrying out the operation told Bar-kulan that they have rounded up some people who are feared to be part of security problem and the attacks. They were already taken to police station in Eel-Barde and arrested.Al-Shabab is accused to have planted mines in Bay and Bakol regions to restrict advancing Ahlu Sunna and TFG troops.

In a press release by the TFG, the government had critically rebuked the gross act of slaying four people by Al-Shabab in Kismayu, the headquarter of lower Jubba region of Somalia.The minister for Justice, Abdullahi Abyan Nuur said in a press statement that this merciless incident is a clear indication of the way they are not valuing the lives of the Somalis and that they are far from implementing justice.The report which was dispersed by the Somali media on Thursday says the 4 persons and 23 others have been hijacked from their homes last week and hurriedly beheaded. They were accused of betrayal.The residents who were flabbergasted by this horrific action asked the TFG to emancipate them from Al-Shabab who intimidates them.The joint operation in the last two months by the government supported by AMISOM has been a success where the militias were driven out of some key places in Mogadishu, Gedo region, Bakool and Lower Juba.
