Official: Govt is committed to take control over whole of the country

MOGADISHU (tf.sf)  – The defense ministry of the transitional government of Somalia has Sunday threatened it would take over the control of whole Somalia and defeat Al-shabab fighters who control much of southern Somalia.

Abdirashid Mohamed Hidig, the deputy minister of defense affairs said that their strategy was to take over the management of whole Somalia where mostly is currently controlled by militias of Al-shabab.“Al-shabab is kind of people who are cruel to the people and also the international community. They commit daily intimidations against the humanity and people in the regions they control,” said Mr. Abdirashid

The officials explained about his tour in more different regions in southern Somalia mainly Jubba and Gedo where there had been more towns and villages that the transitional government troops forcibly took over from Al-shabab militias.He expressed concern over the livelihood of people in the region due to the droughts hit in those regions accusing the aid agencies ignoring supporting the feeble people living there with empty hands.Mr. Abdirashid said 50 people died for famine and starvation during the UN Somali meeting concluded in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital calling for the aid agencies help the people dying in those regions.The deputy minister reiterated condemning the UN aid agencies for not supporting the feeble and displaced people of Somalis and his statement comes as a high delegation of the transitional government of Somalia including Mr. Hiddg returned from the more regions in southern Somalia.
