Somalia president travels to Uganda as his PM returns from Kenya

Mogadishu (tf.sf)-Somalia’s transitional federal government (TFG) president, Sheikh Sharif Ahmed, on Friday left for Uganda while his Prime Minister Abdullahi Mohamed ‘Farmoja’ returned from an official trip in Kenya. The Somalia president with his delegation is expected to hold talks with his host Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni.Uganda has contributed the largest number of AU peacekeepers to Somalia (AMISOM) and is among the strong supporters of Sharif’s Transition Government. On the other hand, Somali premier, Mohamed Abdulahi Farmajo with his delegation arrived from Nairobi where they had met Kenya’s Prime Minister, Raila Odinga.
The top Somalia leaders are apparently on a shuttle diplomacy campaign meant to convince regional powers over the Somali government wish to host in Mogadishu, the UN consultative meeting on Somali which was scheduled to be in Nairobi.
