Government police to carry out operation in Bakara Market after liberation from al-shabaab

The Somali government police have finalized plans to establish a police post in the Bakara market to provide security patrol in a bid to protect and safeguard the property and wealth of the Somali business people in Bakara market.Police spokesman Abdullahi Hasan Barise, who spoke to Bar-kulan, said the police will not cause any harm or looting to the property of the people, and denied accusations that government troops aim to loot and rob the property in the market.Barise also expressed his sadness over the actions of the Al Shabab militia for launching attacks from within the market and shielding behind the civilians and business people who make their living there.The police post will be set up soon, and police will start security partrol in the areas taken over by the military, he concluded.
