Somali Government to Announce The New Cabinet Soon: Officials

Mogadishu (tf.sf) – A new Somalia cabinet with its ministers is expected to be announced within the next 48 hours  in the Somali capital Mogadishu, officials close to the Prime Minister’s office tell terror free somalia.
The recently appointed Somali Prime Minister, Abdiwali Sheekh Ahmed is anticipated to publicize the new cabinet and its ministers; however the announcement of the new cabinet has been delayed several times.

According to a source within the Somali government the announcement of the cabinet has been delayed due to some representatives of certain clans being not happy with the appointment of some members in the cabinet, such as Abdikarim Husein Guled, who’s believed to be part of the cabinet yet again, whom the Habargidir clan are not satisfied with. “There’s an underlying problem here, every clan wants a representative who will look out purely for their own interests rather than the national interests. If he doesn’t cave in to their demands, they won’t be satisfied with him and will demand a replacement” the source said.
Many analysts have often said that many members of the previous cabinet were picked by the President Hasan Mahmud himself, whom they say gave positions to his close friends and associates, in particular those within the so-called “Damul-jadid” circle, a group the President strongly denies to be part of .
Seeing that many of the previous cabinet members failed to live up to their duties and the fact that were often accusations of corruption, many hope this time different cabinet members will be appointed, however at the same time many are skeptical and worried that some figures may yet be appointed again.
