al-shabaab jehadist kidnap education agency officer in Somalia


The chairman of Hiran regional education agency has been kidnapped at gunpoint in the central town of Beledweyne, near the Ethiopian border on Sunday night, according to residents. Mohamed Abdi Osman was seized by armed jehadist men as he was making survey work of school in the town according to residents. Reports further said that his bodyguards have been forced to go down from the vehicle and he was seized. It’s yet unknown the motive behind his abduction. The current Somali government is internationally recognised, but has lost control of large parts of the country to an insurgency driven by mostly hawiye la- shabaab jehadist . The government is backed by troops from neighbouring Ethiopia,since warlords overthrew Siad Bare.Somalia has been at war since 1991, The Horn of Africa nation has been plagued by chaos and clan-based civil war since when hawiye Warlordism, terrorism.
