Fighting between Islamists erupt in Southern town jubbaland state

MOGADISHU-Clashes between Al-Shabaab jehadist and Ahlu Suna Waljama’a Islamist factions are underway in Bardhere town in southwestern jubbaland state ..Somali, witnesses said on Monday. The fighting started after al-Shabab insisted a ban of commemoration prophet Muhammad (peace of Allah be upon him). No casualties have been reported yet and the situation of the city is very tense. The Sufis have been preparing the festival of celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad ignoring the ban from the Shabab in Bardhere. In recent days, al-Shabab angered Ahlu-Sunna Wal-Jama'a adherents by banning celebrations marking the birth of the Prophet Mohammed in areas under their control. Al-Shabab calls the traditional Sufi celebration an un-Islamic ritual. The sound of gunfire can be heard in the town.
