Meles holds discussions with Puntland President Regions of Somalia

Addis Ababa, March 14, 2009 (Addis Ababa) - Prime Minister, Meles Zenawi received and held talks with Puntland President, Abdirahman Mohamed Mohamuda here on Saturday.
Meles and the president held fruitful discussions on various issues including as to how to bolster people-to-people relations, security, trade ties, and other issues of common interest between Ethiopia and Puntland. After the discussion, Puntland President told ENA that the two parties held fruitful discussions on how to enhance cooperation on various sectors. Meles and president have agreed to further scale up the relations between the peoples and governments of Ethiopia and Puntland, according to an official who attended the discussion. As per the request of the president, the premier pledged that Ethiopia will be assisting Puntland in capacity building sector. The two parties have also reached to an agreement to bolster cooperation in addressing the problems of refugees that could exist in their respective countries.
