Mogadishu Sunday 4 October 2009

The Al-Shabab martyrs in the Banadir region have on Sunday imposed strict rules about the prayers, the veils of women and the rights of animals.

"From today onwards all business centers should be closed when the calls of the prayers are said in the different mosques in Mogadishu, and whoever ignores this statement will see the consequence, likewise we are advising that women should put on veils which will not expose their bodies to their opposite sex, so I hope these rules will be hastily obeyed by the Muslim people in the capital Mogadishu" said Sheikh Ali Mohamoud Rage the commander of Al-Shabab in Banadir region in a press conference for the media on Sunday.

On the other hand the Sheikh has warned those who mistreat the domestic animals particularly the donkeys.

"There are people who overload the donkey carts there are some who make wound somewhere just above the tail of the animal so that when it is walking slowly, they jab the wound with their stick in order the animal to increase its motion, there are some who insert hard iron metal in the mouth of the animal all these cannot happen again" added the commander of Al-Shabab in Banandir region.
