Moderate Muslim Group Ahlusuna Wajama concludes its meeting in Abudwaq. form Parliament

MOGADISHU (TF.SF)—Moderate Muslim Group Organization said Friday they have formed a parliament comprising of 41 members in a conference that has been continuing in Abudwaq town in central Somalia. Sheikh Abdulkadir Aden was elected as the speaker of the parliament and Sheikh Abdullahi Abdi Mohamed as the first deputy speaker.




Sheikh Ali Omar Hareed was also elected as the second deputy speaker of the Islamist, Sufi parliament.
The delegates who attended in the meeting elected 41 members of parliamentarians and then the members of the new parliament elected the leadership of the parliament. Sheikh Abdullahi Abdirahman Abu Yusuf, the spokesman of Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a, said the meeting will continue and more activities would be done. The Sufis who are fighting against al Shabaab militants control many towns in central Somalia.
