Thirty-five-year-old Anthony Tracy of Winchester, Va., is scheduled to be released Friday and will be on probation for three years. He spent about four months in jail in total.
Most of the case against Tracy in federal court is shrouded in secrecy. Exactly what he pleaded guilty to remains under seal.
But recently unsealed court transcripts indicate that Tracy was a government informant going back as far as 2002. While living in Kenya he ran an illicit travel business. And he flunked a lie-detector test when he denied helping members of the al-Shabaab terror group.
