Explosion hits Somali parliament compound (warnings..graphic pictures )

One soldier was killed and another one injured in an explosion near the Golaha Shacabka building which houses the Somali parliament, reports say.

The explosion which is said to be a car bombing occurred at a parliament parking lot outside the building housing the Somali parliament in Mogadishu.

Initial reports say the explosion was a car laden with explosion that was detonated after members of the parliament ended their session and came out of the building.Several cars belonging to some members of the parliament were destroyed, according to an MP, Sa’id Sheikh Mohamed, who spoke to Bar-kulan shortly after the explosion.

The incident comes four days after two suicide bombers attacked a Mogadishu restaurant popular with former exiles, killing two people and wounding several others
