German national Gunter Bischoss
Hargeisa Somalia — Hargeisa district Court has postponed the hearing of the case against the German citizen, Mr.Gunter Bischoss who has been accused for shooting indecent porn films with Somaliland ladies.
The court which was expected to start hearing the German case for bad behaviours and shooting of immoral films with Somaliland girls has been postponed to a later date due to security reasons and other legal matters.
The local media claims that Mr. Gunter has been framed by religious figures that are extremists and do not want western citizens integrating into the local society. It is known that Mr. Gunter is married to a Somaliland woman who used to work with him in the NGO sector and has been living in the country for some time.
The minister of Interior of Somaliland has recently said that Mr. Gunter has the right to a lawyer and to defend himself in court.
On the other hand the Director General of the ministry of religion and endowment , Ibrahim Ismail Mohamed , said that the ministry supported the decision to take the accused to court for actions against Somaliland culture.
The Director General stated that Sharia demands that any person who is not a Muslim and does such actions on Muslim ladies must be killed.
In a an interview with Geeska and the Horn cable TV , the Hon. Ibrahim Ismail Mohamed, , stated what they know about the issue as a ministry: “Truly the ministry is very much informed on the matter which involves the foreign man even though the clerics or leaders in the ministry have not spoken about the issue”.
He added, “ We support the man to be taken to court and whatever the court finds should be implemented which would be what he has right to face.”
The DG further stated, “This Germen man who has been living in Hargeisa for some time used to claim that he has taken the Islamic religion but the security officers in Hargeisa found some cassettes containing immoral movies that he recorded on Somaliland girls of whom some are behind bars and the case of this man was very much discussed in the mosques in Hargeisa recently in which the government was asked to take vital steps based on Sharia law.
