Cabdi Samataroow ceel bay kaaga dhacday: Soomaali waxa daawo u noqon kara ‘is jacayl’

Run ahaantii, macallinka ayaa ku eedeeyey mudane Farmaajo inuu   buug uu qorayka dib ka qalin-jebintii jaamacadda Buffalo, ee New York, inuu Maxamed Farmaajo ku aflagaadeeyey hoggaamiyayaal taariikh weyn ku leh Soomaalida dhexdeeda. Hoggaamiyayaashaas oo kala ah AHWN mudane Aadan Cabdulle Cismaan iyo Cabdirashiid Cali Sharmaarke. Haddaba, haddaynu u dhabba galno eedaymaha macallinku u soo jeediyey raysalwasaaraha, waxa meesha ka cad waa ‘gorgorku haadda ka weyn…,’ is nacaybkii Soomali kala diley oo gaadhsiiyey heer bilowaadinimmada ka hooseeya ayaa meeshaa kaaga soo baxaya.

,Adiga oo halkan ka dhegeysan kara codka macallin Cabdi Samatar ku weerarayo  ayaan fiiro gaara ah ugu kuur geleyaa bal mucda iyo macnaha ka dambeeya eedaymahan. Iyadoo aad weliba mooddo in macallin Cabdi ka dab qaadanayo ninka la yiraahdo J. 1. Ugu horrayn sidaad hadalkiisa bilowga ka garan doonto, wuxu dhulka ku jiidayaa eedayn horteed sumcadda raysalwasaaraha oo uu ku sheegay “midaan waxba soo kordhinayn.” Afaaf weerarkaasi wuxu ka markhaanti kacayaa inaan arrintu ku koobnayn raysalwasaaraha qoraalkiisa, laakiin ay tahay arrin ku lug leh ‘isir nacayb.’

2. Wuxu kaloo sheegay inaan haba yaraatee macne badani ku jirin buugga raysalwasaaruhu qoray: “xigmad weyn oo qoraalkaas ku jirto ma jirto…qabyaalad badan oo reero lagu eedaynayaa ku jirta. Taas hadduu macallinku dood ka qabo, ha ogaado in halkan uu ku noolyahay ay tahay America oo loo oggol yahay isaga xataa inuu wax ka sheegi karo aabbayaashii Maraykanka.

Dad badan baa isweydiiya dhibaatada Soomaalida ee sii laba laxaadsanaysa belaayada dabada ka sii waddaa meeshay kaga timaaddo. Run ahaantii Soomaaliya hadda arrintu qabyaalad waa dhaaftay waxay maraysaa ‘isir nacayb’ dhan walba ka socda. Haddaba isir nacaybkani sidee waxyeelladiisu uga weyntahay qabyaaladda? Su’aashaas aniga ra’yigayga waa inaad la necbaato ummad ama dadyow gaara wax allaale iyo wixii dhaqdhaqaaq nololeed ah, hadday xataa noqoto ra’yi ka hadal. Waxan tusaale u soo qaadan karaa golayaasha siyaasadda marka Sooomaalidu isugu timaaddo sia ay isu xagxagtaan. Marka la rabo in Soomaliya masiirkeeda siyaasadeed laga hadlo, mid dhaqan, mid dhaqaale horboodayaashu waa ka ilaaliyaan waxan iyaga ku qabiil iyo ra’ayi ahayn. Ummadda kale inay ka dhex muuqdaan, xataa haddii aqy noqoto baahi aanay daboolo karain, waa ka soo horjeensadaan, Isku xooriyoo, ummad badan oo Soomaali ah ayaa waxa marin habaabiyey isir nacayb, waana dhan walba ee taa ogow, macnaha qola kasta waa leeyihiin.

Waxa intaa sii durkinayey dhibaatada maaha qabyaalad keliya, ee waa isir iyo diir nacayb bulshadeenna ku dhex beermay. Waana tan macallin Samatar iyo kuwa kale oo badan ku dhammaysan doonaan noloshooda, haddii aan ilaahay garansiin dariiq ka wanaagsan kaa ay ku taagan yihiin. Maxaa ina ka lumi lahaa haddaan isku jeclaanno Soomaalinnimo? Ilaahay baan ku dhaartee, maalintaanan qof Soomaaliya arag, xataa Internet-ka ayaan ka daawadaa, keliya inaan arko qof Soomali ah wejigiisa, farxad ayaa igu abuuranta markaan arko qof Soomali ah. Haddaba sida qoraalkayga cinwaankiisu tilmaamayo, waxa daawo inoo noqon kara isjacayl. Meesha uu doono ha ka yimaaddee, maxaa ina ka lumayo haddaynu Soomaalinnimada isku jeclaanno, isu garowno, isu tanaasullo, iska deyno isriixa iyo isxaqiraadda. Wadaad iyo waranle Soomaali dariiqa ayay ka lunsan tahay waana arrin u baahan in si taxaddar leh loo eego. Wadaaddada waxa halhays hadda u noqotay: “difaaca diinta alle…,” waxay taa ku beddeleen halhayskii ahaa “difaaca dhulka hooyo,” dal, diin iyo dad ma kala hadhaan sidaa wax ma u fahmayaan? Waa haddii ilaahay solonsiiyo.Gebabgebadii, macallin Cabdi iyo Soomaali meelkasta ha joogtee waxa wanaagsanaan lahayd in la is taageero, oo laga dabqaato ‘ilko wada jir bay wax ku gooyaan.” Sidani si maaha, shacabkeenna meel walba ku silcaya dan uma aha, haddii aan laga wadin doolshe ha cuneen.

Somalia: Prime Minster Farmaajo Disappointed the Somali People

Somali Prime Minister Mohamed A. Mohamed (Farmaajo) abruptly resigned on June 19, 2011 in a Press conference that was held in Mogadishu in the presence of President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed. His deputy, Professor Abdiweli M. Ali Gaas, was appointed as a care taker Prime Minister by the president. Professor Abdiweli will act as prime minister until the president appoints a new PM within 30 days.

This hasty decision on the part of Prime Minister Farmaajo disappointed the Somali people, especially those who were demonstrating in Mogadishu and came out to show their support. The people protesting in the dangerous streets of Mogadishu showed their support to the prime minster, while underlining their dislike for the two Sharifs – The president and the speaker of the parliament. Mogadishu residents believed that Mr. Farmaajo presented their best hope of restoring peace in Somalia. Abdalla Ahmed describing the protestors in Mogadishu wrote, “The demonstrators, mostly women, students, youth and elders of Mogadishu have opposed the prime minister’s resignation and they strongly criticized the speaker of Somalia parliament Sharif Hassan for his hypocrisy”. Anab Hassan Elmi, the deputy chairperson of the national women’s organization said that “We, as women believe that the prime minister of Somalia Mr. Mohamed as the most important and most hard worker, we will never accept him to quit office.”

Its becoming clear to the residents of Mogadishu that the two Sharifs cared only for their benefit only, acting like that they disagreed, but in actuality, were working behind the scenes and put plans into action inorder to prolong their rule. The recent conference held in Nairobi called and organized by the UN envoy for Somalia Mr. Mahiga, to discuss a way out of the political deadlock of Somalia’s transitional institutions before the expiration of their mandate in August 2011, Sharif Hassan, the speaker of the parliament attended while Sheikh Ahmed, the president, refused to participate, because of what he called at the time ‘external involvement of Somalia’s affairs’. However, when he was called to attend the Kampala accord, he immediately flew to reach an agreement with his opponent, the speaker of the parliament.

In addition to the demonstrator’s abhorrence of the two Sharifs, the prime minster encouraged them to continue expressing their feelings, and later stated that he will not resign until the parliament decides on the Kampala accord. Those familiar with the prime minister said that he knew that the deal reached in Kampala was final and that he could not challenge the two Sharifs who represented the two most powerful institutions in the TFI, but wanted to use Mogadishu residents as a tool to negotiate his exit. It was rumored that all of the TFG former Prime ministers, Gedi and Abdirashid were bought out to leave office. Farmaajo prhaps calculated that with the support of Mogadishu people he could negotiate a better deal than the other ex-primiers.

As reported in Somali websites, the prime minister resigned after meeting with both the president and the commander of AMISOM troops in Mogadishu. This sudden resignation shows that the prime minister was offered a deal he could not refuse. He failed to realize that he told Mogadishu residents and the Somalis at-large that he would not resign until parliament votes on the Kampala accord. To add insult to injury, he stated during the press conference of his resignation that he decided to resign because of “the situation of our country and for the interest of the Somali people”. Interest of what people? Did he imply those who were marching in the dangerous streets of Mogadishu to show the two Sharifs that their days were over and they “cannot fool all the people all the time”?

Mogadishu residents are asking how it can be of any interest to the Somali people by leaving behind the two Sharifs to be in power without fighting to win the right of the Somali people who were willing to stand behind him? Instead of being on the people’s side, Prime minister Farmaajo hinted that “ he will remain in Somalia to take part in nation building and help the ongoing peace process by working with the current interim government “.
It was also reported in major Somali websites that the prime minister will go to Kampala for consultation. This report also raises eyebrows in most of Mogadishu residents and others as to why the prime minister is travelling to Kampala after leaving his office? Why did he abruptly resign from his post after declaring that he would not resign until parliament decides on the Kampala accord? Why does he have to work with the current government that ousted him? What makes him think that working with the two Sharifs that the Somali people dislike is in the best interest of the Somali people?

The answers to these questions will only lead us to the fact that the prime minister negotiated a better deal than all the other prime ministers before him, who are alleged to have left the office after they took handsome amount of money. Perhaps Mr. Farmaajo is thanking residents of Mogadishu for that deal. In his press conference, he stated: “I am extending my appreciation to the people and the republic of Somalia particularly the protesters…I will never forget your role”. Of course!

The outcome of this resignation is that Somali people finally realized the intentions of the two Sharifs who want to rule Somalia forever. They can no longer act as they are enemy unto each other or opponents for that matter. In every meeting held in Mogadishu organized by Somali elders, they disagreed with each other to show the public that each one of them is working for the interest of the people. All of sudden, when the Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni, invited them and they got time to talk face to face they came up with a deal that prolonged their rule.

Their plan is to disagree once again soon after the nomination of the next prime minister. Whether he or she will be approved by the use of hand raising, the two Sharifs will undoubtedly come up with a new deceptive style to show to the people that they are not as friendly as others perceive them to be. Somali people hope this time around, it will not work. The outcome of this resignation is that no matter how PM Farmaajo tried to appear as the people’s Prime minister, he showed his true colors of negotiating his exit instead of fighting for the people who showed their support in the streets of Mogadishu.

Somali speaker’s dishonesty and indecisiveness derailing TFG: Says Somalia’s Prime Minister Mohamed Abdullahi (Farmaajo) also Museveni Hands Ultimatum to Somali Leaders

Somali PM accused the speaker of rejecting negotiations and instead wanting to do "back room" deals with him "personally"

Mogadishu (tf.sf) -Somalia’s Prime Minister Mohamed Abdullahi (Farmaajo) on Tuesday described the speaker of parliament as indecisive and dishonest.
The PM Abdullahi criticized the speaker of the interim parliament of as one engaged in driving a divisive wedge between the executive and members of parliament so as to derail the efforts of the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) to bring order in the war-torn Somalia.
Addressing a press conference in his office at government headquarters in the capital Mogadishu, Farmaajo accused speaker Hassan of failing to respect the will of the Somali people and government.
“The speaker of the parliament is not honest to the people and the nation of Somalia. For four months now he has been reluctant to attend meetings to solve the difference within the interim institutions” Farmaajo said.
“He has requested for a private meeting with the prime minister but I told him we need to settle the disagreement as a general problem facing the nation, but not solving at individual levels”
Criticizing Sharif Hassan he said it cannot only be the speaker’s interests, but that of the country at large.
“The speaker should bring all issues in front of the house for deliberation, but he takes a parallel decision of solving issues. The speaker refused all options, that is when we decided also to extend the term of the government by one year because we are fighting insurgency groups” the premier added
He further blamed the speaker of trying to derail the transitional government in order that he (speaker) can take some strategic portfolios in the next government, but Farmaajo hinted that they will strongly oppose what he calls interference by Sharif Hassan and his political acquaintances.
Farmaajo further said the much anticipated Mogadishu peace conference has been postponed. The meeting that was suppose to kick off in few days time was suppose to bring together Somalis of all works of life to discuss the country’s aggravating situation.
According to the prime minister the meeting was postponed due to unavoidable circumstance including the longstanding dispute within the interim intuitions. The meeting is slated to take place later in the year.
The row that has affected the performance of the TFG is yet to be settled as the official expiry date of the government draws nearer.

Power Sharing Mooted to End Political Crisis
According to BBCsomali :somali PM infuriated by speaker of parliament who wants his allied ex-ministers to be reinstated, power sharing deal?

Update: A final meeting between the Somali president and parliament speaker hosted by the Ugandan president did not take place as planned tonight because the Somali prime minister has not yet arrived in Kampala. Sources told TF.SF that the PM was called to "either convince him step aside or be given a role in the new proposed format."
Ugandan leaders held a closed-door meeting with President Sheikh Sharif Sheik Ahmed and Speaker Sharif Hassan Sheik Adan and put on the table a power sharing deal that if agreed upon may see the speaker’s side accept positions in cabinet or have a hand in the formation of a new cabinet that may replace the one currently headed by Prime Minister Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.

However, both sides initially clung to their positions despite Museveni’s tough stance in bringing about a deal to end the dispute over whether to hold elections this year. Museveni is on record as suggesting a one-year extension for the TFG. Uganda is a major contributor of troops to the peacekeeping mission in Somalia.

“Museveni gave us a deadline which expires tonight (Tuesday night) to agree on the proposal,” said a source who attended the meeting. “If there is an agreement on this, it could at least reduce tension and can give one more year to TFG to complete its tasks, without going through an election”
The source said the two sides were expected to meet Museveni tonight for a final decision on the matter.

Sheikh Sharif and Adan have been staying at a luxurious Munyonyo beach resort in Kampala, Uganda, where a meeting by the International Contact Group on Somalia was concluded on Friday.
In what seemed like a reaction to the “proposals” by Museveni, Farmajo on Tuesday accused the speaker of “engaging in a bargaining game” and said he was seeking cabinet positions for his cronies.
“The speaker has been advocating for an election in a bid to remove the current cabinet from power,” he said.

The PM also announced that a reconciliation meeting planned for Mogadishu next week has been postponed
A diplomatic source told  TF.SF  that the Somali Prime Minister is expected in Kampala this evening in an effort to have him to join the talks.

Details are sketchy on how the proposed power-sharing can be formulated. However, sources say it is possible that a new cabinet can be agreed upon in order to give a term extension to TFG.
Sheikh Sharif insists an election this year, when the mandate of the TFG was due to end, is too early and more time is needed to build on gains made over militant Islamist group al-Shabaab.

Parliament speaker lambasted over Somali govt’s protracted bickering.

pm farmaajo is too pure for these corrupted leaders
The prime minister of Somalia's interim federal government on Tuesday accused parliament speaker Sharif Hassan Sheikh Adam of being behind protracted political bickering in the government.

Mohammed Abdullahi Mohammed, the premier of Somalia, made the comments at a news conference held in the presidential palace, Villa Somalia.

“He (the speaker) is not sincere on the general interest of the country because he running after his personal ends. We are at state of war against naughty militants, who are committed destroying our beloved nation, and that made impossible elections to be hold at this time,” Mohammed told journalists.

“My government has several occasions attempted to have direct discussions with the speaker to end the internal rift, but all ended in vain,” he added.

With the continuation of the wrangle in Transitional Federal Institutions (TFIs), the government has decided to postpone the country’s consultative conference at the end of this month.

The statement of the premier comes as the United Nations special representative to Somalia, Augustine P. Mahiga, and the Ugandan leader Yuweri Museveni are trying to mediate the conflict between the president and the speaker in Kampala after the conclusion of the meeting of the International Contact Group on Somalia late last week.
I will not give up anything including even one minister in the cabinet:

Two groups do not want Farmaajo to be serving as the PM of the TFG: Ethiopia and UN. They are speaking to the TFG Executive thru Shariif Hassan
prospect of resignation being brought up although Farmaajo has refused to resign. Sheikh Sharif knows he stands no chance of reelection if an election happens so he is desperate and Sharif Hassan cornered him by saying he will accept a year-extension if Farmaajo leaves and he is given 9 out of the 18 ministers. Sheikh Sharif forked himself over by even bringing up the proposal to Farmaajo and Farmaajo categorically rejected. It was expected he would reject it, not only that he resigns, but also that Sharif Hassan will have even a single post in the cabinet. Just two hours before he flew to Uganda, he made this speech to the parliament. The man went there ready to fight:

"How could he request negotiations? We don't have political parliamentary parties. All of the TFI's today are basically a single party. He is the Speaker of the Parliament, not majority leader of a party that can negotiate with a minority government. Does he understand basic politics?"
"Now he says he wants some of the ministers. His place in the cabinet. For what? In what manner can this be established legitimately? What is the purpose and the end goal? How does this support the resurgence of a Somali state? But more than that, how can this take place politically and in what path would this even come about in a normal functioning political framework? The whole thing is a joke
"The speaker is not an honest person and nor does he care about the general good. We brought about the proposals concerning the extension when the parliament spoke about theirs. Instead of doing his job and taking the issue with the parliament, he requested to meet with me. I refused to meet him. I told him deliberations are not between persons and your only job is to open parliament, not negotiate proposals. You are not a leader of a political party that can negotiate on behalf of that party with the ruling party. No parties exist. You have a job description, understand your job."

Premier Farmaajo: Dishonest, Indecisive Speaker Derails TFG

CODKA SHIRKA JARAA'ID EE  RA'IISUL WASAARAHA JUNE 07.2011.MP322828K   Play   Download
Somalia’s Prime Minister Mohamed Abdullahi (Farmaajo) on Tuesday took issues with and criticized the role of the speaker of the interim parliament of the fragile country as the rift within the executive officials of the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) seems to widen further.

Addressing a press conference in his office at government headquarters in the capital Mogadishu, Farmaajo accused speaker Hassan of failing to respect the will of the Somali people and government.
"The speaker of the parliament is not honest to the people and the nation of Somalia. For four months now he has been reluctant to attend meetings to solve the difference within the interim institutions” Farmaajo said
“He has requested for a private meeting with the prime minister but I told him we need to settle the disagreement as a general problem facing the nation, but not solving at individual levels”
Criticizing Sharif Hassan he said real leadership requires subtlety and strategy, both notably lacking regarding the speaker. He said it cannot only be the speaker’s interests, but that of the country at large.
The enraged premier accused the speaker of obstinacy in solving critical issues facing the nation and usurping the power of Somali lawmakers by taking unilateral decisions based individual interest.
"The speaker should bring all issues in front of the house for deliberation, but he takes a parallel decision of solving issues.
The meeting is slotted to take place later in the year.
This is the first time the prime minister of the beleaguered TFG stridently addressed the dispute between the executive and the parliament. The row that has affected the performance of the TFG is yet to be settled as the official expiry date of the government draws nearer.

On The Other Hand...  Islamist leader Sheikh Sharif  didn't get a very warm reception

Wednesday, March 1, 2017

Moderate Islamist group signals relations with new Somalia government, Alhusuna leader Mohamed Shakir Hassan ready to work with Somalia President Mohamed Farmaajo’s

Alhusuna leader Mohamed Shakir Hassan  ready to work with Somalia President Mohamed Farmaajo’s

The moderate Islamist group Ahlusuna wal Jamaa has indicated its willingness to work with the Federal Government but maintained unwillingness to cede ground for established Federal States in central Somalia.
In an exclusive interview with terror free somalia blog Mohamed Shakir Hassan the group’s leader for the so called Central Regions territory said they were ready to work with President Mohamed Farmaajo’s administration but on condition they are regarded like any other regional administration.
“We do not have any problem with the current administration. Our issue was with former president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud who brought an administration which had nothing to do with the people of Galmudug. He came with his supporter and violated the constitution by allowing the formation of a state from one and half regions,” said Hassan.
Galmudug state formed in 2015 is made up of Galgadud region and the southern part of Mudug. The Provisional constitution notes two or more states can join to form a state. Ahlusuna walked of the state formation conference in April 2015 and has since occupied the Dhuusamareb, the supposed administrative capital for Galmudug state.
The 43 year Hassan who says is now pursuing a PhD in political science from Ahqaf University in Yemen claims Ahlusuna’s territory straddles the central regions to cover Mudug, Hiiran and Galmudug. Alhusuna is however primarily based in Dhuusamareb.
Asked how possible it is that a small group made up of two communities could claim stake of three regions, Hassan dismisses it as fabrication of the media. “That is how the media makes people believe. As you can see even the man who organized the interview for you is an MP in my administration but comes from a different clan outside Dhuusamareb.”
Ahlusuna wal Jamaa fought alongside Somali forces in driving out Al-Shabaab from parts of central Somalia but fell out with the government over what it termed as exclusion despite efforts at pacifying the region.
Hassan is not open to the idea of discussing his troop numbers but says ‘they are enough to control the three regions and were strong enough to finish Al-Shabaab’. As to the sources of funding for the group, Hassan states “We get money from supporters of the Alhusuna liberation and our administration is supported by all in Galmudug, Alhusuna, Himin and Heeb and consists of Mudug, Galgadud and Hiiraan.”
Himin and Hebb existed alongside Galmudug before 2014 but joined together to form Galmudug state.
During his meeting with President Farmaajo, Hassan says they did not discuss the Galmudug issue but instead focused on efforts to fight Al-Shabaab. The leader who could not see eye to eye with former president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud attended President Farmaajo’s inauguration in what was seen as a sign of better relations with the new administration.
But Hassan is categorical that Alhusuna fighters will not surrender their weapons to the government. “We will not give out our weapons. Alhusuna is just like any other region and the government must deal with us as a regional state,” said Hassan. He assured humanitarian agencies however of free movement noting they restricted movement in the past because of the bad relations with Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s administration.
On his group’s relations with Ethiopia, Hassan observes, “we enjoy good relationship with Ethiopia just like we do with the new government.”

Mending the Awkward Farmaajo-Ethiopia Relationship

By Zecharias Zelalem

Mohammed Abdullahi “Farmaajo” has been elected as Somalia’s 9th president. The dual American Somali citizen’s electoral triumph ignited an outpouring of joy and celebration among Somalis both in Somalia and in the diaspora around much of the western world. After most of the past decade saw a host of clan backed corrupted elitists squandering resources in an attempt to keep unproductive leaderships afloat, Farmaajo, who appears to be free from any affiliations with the elitist bigwigs or foreign powers, is a breath of fresh air and a source of optimism for many Somalis.
A newcomer of sorts, he only entered the Somali political scene some seven years or so after giving up a comfortable life in Buffalo, USA employed at the New York State Department of Transportation in Buffalo. Despite the turbulent nature of Somalia’s parliamentary wrangling and the massive task at hand faced by that country’s government, Farmaajo’s approach, a track record of getting things done during his stints in political office and his pan Somali rhetoric has seen him strike a chord with fellow politicians and the general Somali population. After his clinching of the Presidential vote last week and the subsequent jubilant reactions of his compatriots, it wouldn’t be farfetched to say that Mohammed Farmaajo, who got his nickname for his love of cheese growing up, is a leader beloved by the people he is slated to serve. This is a status enjoyed by very few leaders, if any on the African continent..     more

Fazul was planning attack on Uganda, says army. 'Politics behind Somalia PM resignation' The Leader Behind creation of a functioning Somali Army and responsible for getting East African Al-Qaeda leader Abdullah Fazul

information emerging out of Somalia indicates that documents found in the car of the East African Al-Qaeda leader, killed in Mogadishu two weeks ago reveal that he was planning to attack Kampala and Bujumbura.

The commander of the Ugandan peacekeeping contingent in Somalia, Col. Paul Lokech told journalists from Uganda, Burundi and Kenya currently on a visit in Mogadisgu that they had recovered papers from the vehicle Abdullah Fazul was driving with details of his planned attacks.

“According to the recovered documents, he had other plans of attacking Kampala and Bujumbura. But it’s not going to be safe anymore for the terrorists,” Col. Lokech said. Fazul was killed by the Somali Transitional Federal government forces after refusing to stop at a security check point.

Foreign fighters
Col. Lokech said Fazul was travelling to Abdi Aziz district in Mogadishu where foreign fighters have established a new base after they were dislodged from their old camp at the Interior ministry headquarters now occupied by Ugandan forces.
“He had come to brief them about the change of command after the death of Osama Bin Laden,” he said.

A Ugandan army officer, Lt. Col. Patrick Sihibwa, was killed by al-Shabaab near this old base as the militants were trying to recapture the strategic place taken from them by the Ugandan forces on June 4.

The African Union peacekeepers have encircled Bakara Market, the largest market in Mogadishu, which is under the control of the al-Shabaab militants.

“We don’t want to shell the market because we know the value of this market to the people of Somalia. But we will squeeze these terrorists to know that they have no option but to get out,” Lt. Col. Anthony Mbusi Lukwago, who is commanding the Hawal wadag sector, said.
Politics behind Somalia PM resignation' The Leader Behind  creation of a functioning Somali Army  and responsible for getting East African Al-Qaeda leader Abdullah Fazul
Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed resigned on Sunday as Somalia Prime Minister to avert further chaos in the country and because the United States and United Nations failed to support him, a US lobbyist for Somalia says.
“Given the fact that the UN and US appear indifferent to good governance in Somalia and only seem to want shallow 'happy face' agreements between the president and speaker, the prime minister felt he had no choice,” John Zagemy, a lobbyist for New York-based Park Strategies, told the Nation.
“Pure politics trumped performance.”
Parliament Speaker Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden insisted that Mr Mohamed, better known as Farmaajo, step down as specified under the terms of an agreement recently negotiated in Kampala.
Farmaajo initially refused, saying Parliament must first either accept or reject the Kampala accord. Thousands of Somalis as well as several members of Parliament crossed clan lines to voice support for Farmaajo, who had been widely seen as one of the most effective political leaders during the past 20 years of anarchy in Somalia.
But the Obama administration and the UN remained conspicuously silent on Farmaajo's status.
Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni also played a key role in forcing Farmaajo to quit, the New York Times reported on Monday.
Uganda holds considerable sway over Somalia's Transitional Federal Government because Ugandan soldiers are the decisive element in the African Union force that is keeping the TFG from being overthrown by Islamist insurgents.
“The only glimmer of hope in this fiasco is that the interim prime minister [Abdiweli Mohamed Ali] is also a good guy who's honest and competent,” Mr Zagemy says.
“Unfortunately, those don't seem to be saving virtues in Somalia.”
most  Somalis fear the recent forced resignation of the country's Somali-American prime minister will allow government corruption to rise again, bringing back a time when soldiers went unpaid for months.

Mohamed was seen as the rare honest politician in Mogadishu.

Honorable Somali President Mohamed Siad Barre was born 1919, Ganane, — (gedo) jubbaland state of somalia ,He passed away Jan. 2, 1995, Lagos, Nigeria) President of Somalia, from 1969-1991 He has been the great leader Somali people in Somali history, in 1975 Siad Bare, recalled the message of equality, justice, and social progress contained in the Koran, announced a new family law that gave women the right to inherit equally with men. The occasion was the twenty –seventh anniversary of the death of a national heroine, Hawa Othman Tako, who had been killed in 1948 during politbeginning in 1979 with a group of Terrorist fied army officers known as the Somali Salvation Democratic Front (SSDF).Mr Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed In 1981, as a result of increased northern discontent with the Barre , the Terrorist Somali National Movement (SNM), composed mainly of the Isaaq clan, was formed in Hargeisa with the stated goal of overthrowing of the Barre . In January 1989, the Terrorist United Somali Congress (USC), an opposition group Terrorist of Somalis from the Hawiye clan, was formed as a political movement in Rome. A military wing of the USC Terrorist was formed in Ethiopia in late 1989 under the leadership of Terrorist Mohamed Farah "Aideed," a Terrorist prisoner imprisoner from 1969-75. Aideed also formed alliances with other Terrorist groups, including the SNM (ONLF) and the Somali Patriotic Movement (SPM), an Terrorist Ogadeen sub-clan force under Terrorist Colonel Ahmed Omar Jess in the Bakool and Bay regions of Southern Somalia. , 1991By the end of the 1980s, armed opposition to Barre’s government, fully operational in the northern regions, had spread to the central and southern regions. Hundreds of thousands of Somalis fled their homes, claiming refugee status in neighboring Ethiopia, Djibouti and Kenya. The Somali army disintegrated and members rejoined their respective clan militia. Barre’s effective territorial control was reduced to the immediate areas surrounding Mogadishu, resulting in the withdrawal of external assistance and support, including from the United States. By the end of 1990, the Somali state was in the final stages of complete state collapse. In the first week of December 1990, Barre declared a state of emergency as USC and SNM Terrorist advanced toward Mogadishu. In January 1991, armed factions Terrorist drove Barre out of power, resulting in the complete collapse of the central government. Barre later died in exile in Nigeria. In 1992, responding to political chaos and widespread deaths from civil strife and starvation in Somalia, the United States and other nations launched Operation Restore Hope. Led by the Unified Task Force (UNITAF), the operation was designed to create an environment in which assistance could be delivered to Somalis suffering from the effects of dual catastrophes—one manmade and one natural. UNITAF was followed by the United Nations Operation in Somalia (UNOSOM). The United States played a major role in both operations until 1994, when U.S. forces withdrew. Warlordism, terrorism. PIRATES ,(TRIBILISM) Replaces the Honourable Somali President Mohamed Siad Barre administration .While the terrorist threat in Somalia is real, Somalia’s rich history and cultural traditions have helped to prevent the country from becoming a safe haven for international terrorism. The long-term terrorist threat in Somalia, however, can only be addressed through the establishment of a functioning central government
