Terrorist Al-Shabab militiamen yesterday [3 December] afternoon set up a new camp in Halimo Hite locality on the outskirts of Mogadishu. The militiamen are said to be armed with battle vehicles and a lot of weapons. Locals say that the fighters have set up a strong defence line there. Area residents are fleeing fearing an outbreak of fighting there. There has been no word from al-Shabab on the fighters that encamped in Halimo Hiite and the motive for their setting up a new base there is unknown, although unconfirmed reports indicate that al-Shabab plans to take, among other places, Karan market, which is very close to where al-Shabab fighters have encamped. Machinegun fire was heard early this morning coming from al-Shabab's new camp, and area residents are worried about being caught in the midst of fighting. Meanwhile, movements of Islamic Courts fighters, who have bases in the localities of Sheikh Ali Abdulle and Galgalato, were also felt. Area residents say that there is fear that militiamen of the Islamic Courts and al-Shabab group could clash.
Showdown looms as Ethiopian troops with jubbaland army when al- shabaab Terrorist arrive in southeastern .. jubbaland state of somalia.
Terrorist al-shabaab groups with ONLF have arrived in parts of Luq and Dolow in Gedo Region at a time when the two towns have seen an influx of Ethiopian troops with battlewagons as they established bases in the region.Luq and Doolow, which are located on the border between Ethiopia and Somalia, have also seen an increase in the number of armed jehadist groups arriving in the town.Reports indicate that many armed opposition groups in their battlewagons arrived in the locality of Geed Weyne, which is 30 km away from Dolow, and the locality of Shatilow, which is 15 km from Luq. According to area residents, the armed jehadist groups in their battle wagons addressed hundreds of residents in the area.Hassan Jibril who is among the senior officials of the gjehadis troups that arrived in these localities said they are in the region to carry out security operations and to remove illegal roadblocks that have been mounted by militias. They said they would take appropriate steps against anyone found to have erected illegal roadblocks. Hassan Jibril also said their arrival in the region is part of a wider plan in which they intend to take control of the Gedo Region jubbaland state of somalia. The towns where the armed opposition groups arrived yesterday are strategic for Ethiopian troops who are travelling to Bay, Bakool, and Gedo regions, and also to Mogadishu.Political analysts have expressed concern about the arrival of armed jehadist groups in towns in Gedo Region. It is likely that Ethiopian troops who use the roads and the armed opposition groups will clash in the area. The arrival of armed jehadist groups in some towns in Gedo Region comes at a time when the towns have also seen an influx of Ethiopian troops in their battle wagons from the other side of the border. Ethiopian troops established bases in the towns in Somalia .. in kismayu 8 jehadast dead on boat overturn incident .. crossing the Jubba River .they were going jehadast camp..goobwayn town .. hasan turky wing of al-shabaab Strong Hold.

We Are Winning the War on Terrorism in Horn of Africa
The threat is from violent extremists who are a small minority of the world's 1.3 billion Muslims, the threat is real. They distort Islam. They kill man, woman and child; Christian and Hindu, Jew and Muslim. They seek to create a repressive caliphate. To defeat this enemy, we must understand who we are fighting against, and what we are fighting for.
