MOGADISHU – Mohamed Abdulaahi Mohamed (Farmajo), the Prime Minister of the transitional government of Somalia has formally appointed 18 ministries for his cabinet in a high decorated ceremony held at the presidential palace in the Somalia capital Mogadishu on Friday evening.More officials of the transitional government including the Somali president Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed and speaker of the parliament Sharif Hassan Sheik Aden had attened the ceremony and greatly welcomed the announcement of Prime Minster.
The following is the list of the appointed ministries:-
1) Mohamed Abdullahi Omar, deputy PM and foreign affairs minister
2) Abdihakin Mohamed Haji (Fiqi), deputy PM and defense minister
3) Prof. Abdiweli Mohamed, deputy PM and international relationship minister
4) Abdishakur Sheik Hassan Farah, national security and interior affairs minister
5) Hussein Abdi Halene, currency and finance minister
6) Maryan Kasim Ahmed, family affairs minister
7) Yusuf Mo’alin Amin (Badiyow), farming minister
8) Dr. Aden Haji Ibrahim Da’ud, health and social affairs minister
9) Abdikarin Hassan Jama, information and telecommunication affairs minister
10) Abdinor Mo’allin Mohamud, sports, youth and development of economics minister.
11) Dr. Mohamed Mo’llin Hassan Mohamed, fishing and resources minister
12) Ahmed Abdirahman, transportation minister
13) Mohamud Mohamed, federal constitution and reconciliation affairs minister
14) Abdirashid Khalif Hashi, reconstruction and public affairs minister
15) Abdirisak Sheik Mohudin, mineral and petrol affairs minister
