HU, Somalia May 11 – An ex-warlord who is notorious for switching sides in Somalia’s endless conflicts has rejected the Somali interim government and has surrendered his weapons over to Islamist rebels, Radio mogadishu reports.
Hawiye Yusuf Mohamed Siad “Indho Ade,” for years the warlord-ruler of Lower Shabelle region, met with interim Somali President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed last Wednesday in the capital Mogadishu where the two men agreed that Indho Ade and his loyal fighters would join the government.
