Addis Ababa, September (Addis Ababa) - The Muslim community shall celebrate the New Year and the Ramadan -the fasting month coincided in a peaceful and stable manner, the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council said. Council’s Vice President Sheik Elias Redman made the statement in a message he delivered in connection with the Ethiopian New Year.
Sheik Elias said the Muslim community should ensure peaces since it is indispensable.
Peace, national consensus, prevention of corruption and instill new thinking among the youth are essential elements to prosper the country. He urged the public to be committed in fighting poverty. He wishes for the Muslim community the Ramadan and the New Year a time of growth and prosperity.
